Senior Backend Engineer
Epiks Corp., a remote-first company based in Vietnam, is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join its global engineering team. In this full-time role, you'll architect and develop highly scalable backend systems using Golang, with a strong emphasis on reliability (99.9%+ uptime), performance, and cloud-native infrastructure. Collaborating with a cross-functional team of 4+ engineers, you’ll be involved end-to-end—from requirements gathering to deployment—while leveraging tools like Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll also contribute to DevOps processes across AWS and GCP environments. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years of backend development experience, including 1+ year specifically using Golang. Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker, Bazel), and debugging complex systems is essential. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible, and a strong grasp of CI/CD concepts are highly desirable. Familiarity with AI/ML integrations, monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and a proactive, collaborative mindset will distinguish top applicants. English communication skills are required.

About the Opportunity
We are looking for experienced Golang engineers to join a growing global engineering team. You will work on large-scale backend systems focused on high availability, performance, and scalability. You’ll be expected to take ownership of projects, contribute to system architecture, and lead by example through clean code, infrastructure know-how, and strong collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Go (Golang)
- Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS and GCP using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment systems
- Ensure code quality through clean coding and rigorous code reviews
- Collaborate with 4+ engineers in a remote, cross-functional team
- Lead project phases from requirements to delivery
- Monitor system uptime and reliability (target: 99.9%+ uptime)
- Define and evaluate performance metrics and KPIs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in backend development
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Golang
- Experience with Docker, Bazel, or other build/container tools
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS / GCP infrastructure
- Solid debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in team-based development and collaborative workflows
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Infrastructure-as-Code expertise: Terraform / Ansible
- Experience integrating AI/ML pipelines into backend systems
- Familiarity with TensorFlow Serving, MLflow, or Kubernetes
- Skilled in CI/CD automation: Jenkins, blue-green deployment, etc.
- Experience setting up monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate with non-technical stakeholders
