Junior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer with a solid foundation in Computer Science principles and strong problem-solving skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop reliable and scalable solutions while growing your skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside ex-Googlers and collaborate with top talent at one of the largest startups in South Korea. You will also work with modern tools and technologies, including build systems like Bazel and containerization tools like Docker. Prior experience with Golang or managing high-traffic systems is not required but would be a bonus. More importantly, we value a growth mindset and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to designing and building scalable, robust software solutions.
• Collaborate with the team to solve technical challenges and improve system performance.
• Learn and apply tools like Bazel, Docker, and other relevant technologies.
• Support the integration of systems leveraging AI models, as applicable.

Key Requirements

• Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (e.g., data structures, algorithms).
• Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
• Basic communication skills in English are required; you should be able to communicate effectively for work-related matters, but fluency is not necessary.
• Interest in learning Golang, scalable system development, and related tools.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Golang (experience not required).
• Exposure to managing high-traffic systems or distributed systems.
• Experience working with systems that integrate AI models.
• Background in programming competitions such as ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) or IOI (International Olympiad in Informatics).

Hiring Details

• Contract Type: 1-year renewable contract.
• Salary: $800 ~ $1200 per month.

Interview Process

1. First Round: Online Coding Test - An online coding test to evaluate your core technical skills and problem-solving ability.
2. Second Round: Communication & Culture Fit Interview - A virtual interview conducted in English to assess communication skills and cultural alignment.
3. Third Round: Technical Interview (Live Coding) - A live coding session via Google Meet to further evaluate your technical depth and approach to real-time problem-solving.

Use of ChatGPT or any other cheating tools during the online coding test is strictly prohibited.

Any cheating activity will be detected by our system, and candidates caught cheating will be permanently disqualified from future opportunities.
