Python/Django Full-Stack Developer
Canaan Advisors, a management consulting firm, is seeking a Full-Stack Developer based in Vietnam to support the development of its new "Biodiversity" solution. This is a full-time contractor position requiring 40 hours per week, with fully remote work flexibility. You’ll work closely with the CTO and development team to build and maintain web applications, translating client and founder requirements into scalable, innovative solutions. Compensation includes paid vacations and an annual bonus equivalent to one month’s salary.
Ideal candidates will have at least 4–5 years of experience and a strong background in Python and the Django framework. Proficiency with JavaScript, ReactJS, and cloud-based platforms like Azure or AWS is important. Experience in AI/ML projects is highly desirable. A degree from a top Vietnamese or international university is preferred. Applicants must demonstrate strong English communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Candidates must be located in Vietnam and are required to use their own devices for work. Since this is a sole-employment role, secondary jobs are not permitted. Expectation for the role
Together with the CTO, you will be responsible for the development of the first version of our "Biodiversity" solution and play an important role in the technical structure currently being formed, deepening your skills in these areas, which includes:
- Collaborate with the entire development team to translate the needs expressed by the founders and clients into relevant applications.
- Ensure the maintenance and regular updates of existing applications.
- Stay up-to-date on technological trends and developments to propose optimal solutions.
- Design and develop innovative web applications using Front-End and Back-End concepts.

Must Have Requirements
- Preferably graduate from top Vietnamese universities (HCMUT, HCMUS, HUST, UIT, etc.) and/ or top universities around the world.
- 4-5 years experience with strong experience in Python & Django framework
- Certain experience in AI/ML projects
- Experience with Javascript, React.js and cloud-based platform (AWS, Azure)
- Language: Working-level proficiency in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Curious, autonomous, and constantly staying up-to-date in your field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
