Full Stack Engineer
Canaan Advisors, a management consulting firm, is hiring a Remote Full Stack Engineer based in Vietnam on a full-time contractor basis. The role focuses on building and maintaining a serverless web application specialized in audio processing and editing. You'll work on projects using modern technologies including Next.js, React.js, Tailwind CSS, and MongoDB, while deploying applications via Vercel and integrating with Azure cloud storage. Compensation starts from USD 1,800/month (gross), with 1-month annual bonus and paid vacations. Candidates should be prepared to work 40 hours per week from their own devices.
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of full stack development experience and a solid background in React.js and serverless architectures. Proficiency in MongoDB, Azure (or equivalent cloud platforms like AWS or GCP), and Tailwind CSS is essential. A degree from a top university in Vietnam or internationally is preferred. Familiarity with audio or media editing applications and prior experience with Vercel hosting is a plus. Candidates must have working-level English proficiency and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
This position is suitable for engineers comfortable in fast-paced environments, especially those with prior startup experience. Expectation for the role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will:
- Develop and maintain a serverless web app for audio processing and editing.
- Optimize frontend performance using Next.js and React.js.
- Design and manage cloud-based storage for audio files (Azure).
- Ensure smooth deployment and hosting via Vercel.
- Work with MongoDB for database management.
- Implement responsive UI with Tailwind CSS.
Must Have Requirements
- Preferably graduated from a top Vietnamese university (HCMUT, HCMUS, HUST, UIT, etc.) and/ or top university around the world.
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and serverless architectures.
- Proficiency in MongoDB and cloud storage (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Vercel or similar hosting platforms.
- Experience with audio/media editing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Language: Working-level proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
Experience in startup environments (ability to move fast).
