Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer to manage the development, and maintenance of advanced Power BI solutions. This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and performance optimization, as well as a strong ability to support end-users and troubleshoot complex BI issues. The ideal candidate will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights and ensuring the reliability and scalability of BI solutions across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Create robust data models using Power BI Desktop and Power Query.
- Write complex DAX expressions for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
- Integrate Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for Power BI issues, including performance tuning and data discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain Power BI service, gateways, and scheduled data refreshes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, report rendering, and user access.
- Document solutions, processes, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and support.
- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL).
- Experience with Power BI Service, including workspace management and security.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD for BI.
- Relevant Certifications: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Google cloud data platforms.
- Knowledge of Python for data analysis.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
