Senior PHP Developer
A Canadian technology company, in collaboration with REC Talents - HR Solution, is seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer for a full-time, remote position based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Candidates must be local residents available during Vietnam standard working hours with flexibility to attend in-person meetings when required. This is a freelance contract (not eligible for social insurance) offering a monthly salary of 40–50 million VND, negotiable based on experience and English proficiency. You’ll work on scalable, cloud-based systems—developing dynamic web solutions, integrating third-party services, and configuring cloud environments in a global, innovation-driven team.
The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of professional experience in PHP development, and a solid understanding of HTML/CSS, REST APIs, OOP, and MySQL. Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and frameworks like Node.js, React, or Django is a strong plus. Knowledge of Linux, Nginx/Apache, Elasticsearch, or Python is advantageous. Strong English communication skills are required, as the interview process (3–4 rounds) is conducted entirely in English. The role focuses heavily on backend development, though flexibility to work with technologies like WordPress or transition from Laravel is appreciated.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Participate in the design and development of dynamic, interactive cloud-based systems that are scalable in both performance and maintainability
Follow coding standards
Develop optimized web application solutions (Python / Django, PHP)
Integrate web services with third-party technology
Configure Serve/Cloud instances etc.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years of professional work experience
- Programming Languages: PHP, HTML/CSS
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes preferred
- Server-Side Database MySQL, MongoDB etc.
- Web Concepts: REST, JSON, XML, OOP, Dependency Injection, SOAP even better
- Frameworks: experience with Node.js, React, Django is a plus
- Good Knowledge of Linux commands is a plus
- Familiar with Apache, Nginx, Server configuration etc. is a plus
- Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus
- Ability to solve problems quickly and independently
