Job Requirements
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a strong focus on backend systems.
- Proven expertise in PHP 7/8, with solid experience in modern frameworks such as Zend and Laravel (our current stack uses Zend).
- Good understanding of SOLID principles, software design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Excellent understanding of relational databases, including database design and optimization.
- Solid experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests using tools like PHPUnit or Pest.
- Background in architecture and system design for scalable, maintainable applications.
- Skilled in refactoring legacy codebases to improve maintainability, performance, and readability.
- Fluent in English – strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js, along with proficiency in HTML/CSS.
- Experience working with distributed systems, and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to system migration projects, particularly in migrating legacy Zend Framework applications to Laravel.
