Fullstack Developer
GEN, a stealth-mode AI startup in the Marketing & Advertising industry, is seeking a seasoned Fullstack Developer for a fully remote role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is a full-time opportunity to contribute end-to-end to production-grade AI systems used to power intelligent agents that create viral content and drive revenue. You'll work across backend services using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and frontend interfaces built with React.js and TypeScript, while collaborating with AI researchers and experienced founders. You’ll also play a key role in designing scalable APIs, real-time systems with WebSockets, and asynchronous workflows. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in fullstack or frontend/backend development, with deep expertise in Python, React.js, TypeScript, and modern engineering practices. Proficiency in PostgreSQL, REST API design, microservices, and tools like Docker and Git is essential. Experience with asynchronous programming in high-concurrency environments is highly valued. Additional familiarity with LLM APIs, vector databases such as Pinecone or Weaviate, or orchestration tools like LangChain is a plus. Strong communication skills in English are required.

What You’ll Do
Build scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI/Flask), integrating LLM APIs, vector databases, and orchestration logic.
Develop intuitive, performant frontend interfaces using React.js and TypeScript for human-AI interaction.
Design and maintain RESTful APIs, real-time systems using WebSockets, and asynchronous workflows.
Own features end-to-end—from architecture design, implementation, to deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate with AI researchers and the core engineering team to ship production-grade AI tools.
Contribute to architectural decisions, infrastructure planning, and team best practices.
What You Bring
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in fullstack or backend/frontend development.
- Expert in Python and one or more frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
- Advanced proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end development practices.
- Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Familiar with Docker, Git, and distributed version control.
- Experience working in high-concurrency environments with async programming.
- Good English skills
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with WebSockets, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs, vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate), or LangChain.
- Exposure to AI/ML workflows or a strong interest in autonomous agent systems.
- Prior experience in early-stage startups or building MVPs from scratch.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats: engineering, architecture, product input.
