Back End Developer
FWPartners.Asia is seeking a remote Back End Developer to support an early-stage client team based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This full-time role focuses on developing a cutting-edge platform that transforms user opinions into actionable, on-chain market data. In this position, you'll contribute to both rapid product prototyping and infrastructure stability, helping shape product-market fit while improving deployment pipelines and performance monitoring. The role offers the opportunity to work in a Web3 and crypto innovation space, with responsibilities ranging from resolving critical system issues to enhancing robust, scalable backend functionality.
Candidates should have at least 5+ years of backend development experience, with deep expertise in TypeScript, particularly type-checking and linting. Strong familiarity with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) is critical. A solid understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, is essential, along with experience in schema design and query optimization. Excellent English communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with a globally distributed team.

As a Product Engineer with a DevOps Focus, you'll play a critical role in both shaping our product and ensuring its stability. Your work will directly contribute to finding product-market fit, balancing rapid prototyping with robust infrastructure improvements.
What you'll do:
- Rapidly prototype proof-of-concept features to test hypotheses and gather user feedback, directly influencing our product direction.
- Act as a first responder for urgent system issues, troubleshooting, and resolving critical failures to maintain high availability.
- Design and implement solutions to prevent future outages, proactively strengthening our systems.
- Enhance our CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce technical debt.
- Monitor system performance using Grafana, ensuring optimal operation.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with strong proficiency in TypeScript (including linting and type-checking).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Docker) and AWS.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and linter setup.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Proven ability to monitor systems, debug emergent issues, and implement preventative solutions.
- A pragmatic approach to balancing quick iterations with sustainable, long-term technical solutions.
