Vietnamese to English Life Science (Pharmacovigilance) Translator - US Time Zone
Welocalize is hiring skilled Vietnamese to English translators for their Life Sciences program focused on Pharmacovigilance. This fully remote contract offers $15–$20 per hour, engaging you in timely medical and clinical translation projects using the XTM CAT tool (license provided). Core responsibilities include translation, copy editing, and MT post-editing of sensitive pharmacovigilance content, with prompt delivery under tight deadlines, especially during EU close-of-business hours.
Applicants must have proven experience in Life Sciences translations, be fluent in Vietnamese, possess native-level English (both en-GB and en-US), and be available during US business hours from any location. Key skills include attention to detail, confidentiality, and proficiency with CAT tools, preferably XTM. Experience with high-volume, time-critical projects and a background in pharmacovigilance or medical content is a plus.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of translations under tight deadlines. Many assignments are time-sensitive, requiring quick turnarounds to meet client expectations and maintain the highest standards of quality.

\n- Translate documents from Vietnamese (vi-VN) to English (en-GB/en-US) with a focus on pharmacovigilance content.
- Perform Translation, Copy Editing (CE) and Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE) tasks as required, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency.
- Adhere to tight deadlines, especially for projects received during EU close-of-business hours, with delivery required for early morning.
- Work within the client-provided XTM CAT tool (license will be provided).
- Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and reliability to meet client expectations and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
- Proven experience in translation, copy editing, and MTPE for pharmacovigilance or similar content in the Life Sciences domain.
- Fluency in Vietnamese (source language) and native-level proficiency in English (target language), with the ability to adapt to both en-GB and en-US as needed.
- Availability during US time zone business hours (location can be any country).
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and commitment to meeting deadlines under time-sensitive conditions.
- Familiarity with CAT tools, specifically XTM (training provided if necessary).
- Ability to handle sensitive and technical content with confidentiality and precision.
- Experience working with high-volume, time-critical translation projects.
- Strong background in pharmacovigilance, medical, or pharmaceutical content.
