Senior Android Developer

Role: Senior Android Developer

Location: Vietnam/Remote

Duration: Full-time/Contract

A rapidly-growing company that is building products to help expand financial access, choice, and control globally, is looking for a Senior Android Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of building special projects and features. The company is focused on developing the most convenient financial services in emerging areas and has raised over $300 million in funding during their Series E round.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and ship customer-facing features to improve aesthetics, stability, and security features
• Build and scale complex features for current and future supported countries
• Assist in integrating with external partners for tracking, payment/KYC, support, etc
• Review design documents, conduct code reviews, and weigh in on implementation choices from other technical teams
• Rework existing codebases to configure better abstraction and modularization
• Add, maintain, and extend automation tests to comply with code coverage targets

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• At least 4+ years of professional experience as an Android developer
• Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience working with languages like Java and Kotlin
• Proven experience in building and shipping large-scale consumer mobile applications
• Deep understanding of performance, strengths, and trade-offs of Android
• Familiarity with development processes involving dependency injection, preferably Dagger 2
• Ability to produce high-quality codes using reactive development frameworks like RxJava
• Expertise in REST API development processes
• Deep understanding of software architecture concepts like MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
• Familiarity with predictive analysis and machine learning concepts will be helpful
