Senior AI Engineer
A leading U.S.-based data technology company is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join its growing team remotely from Vietnam or in a hybrid format from the Philippines. This is a full-time contractor role offering a competitive compensation package of up to USD 3,500 NET monthly, based on experience. As part of a global team, you’ll collaborate on creating and deploying AI-powered applications using large language models (LLMs) to extract insights from rich global trade data. Core responsibilities include designing and deploying LLM features, integrating AI assistants, enhancing data pipelines, and working cross-functionally with product and engineering leads. The schedule follows a Monday to Friday workweek aligned to the Singapore/Philippines time zone, with benefits including generous leave entitlements and performance bonuses.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience developing AI/ML or LLM-powered applications, excellent Python programming skills, and hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tools. Proficiency in prompt engineering and working with LLM APIs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, OpenRouter) is essential, along with a strong foundation in data structures and system design. Excellent English communication skills are mandatory, and a short English audio sample will be required as part of the application process. About the Role
Work with world-class data and build real AI products. We are hiring an AI Engineer to help shape and deliver AI-powered applications using large language models. You will work with rich global trade data and develop solutions that go beyond theory—real tools, real results. Candidates must have proven LLM experience. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building practical applications of generative AI. Candidates with only compliance or general data backgrounds will not be a good fit. Strong English reading and writing skills are required. Occasional early morning or evening meetings may be expected (leadership is based in Canada).
Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Design and develop LLM-based solutions from prototype to deployment
