Role Overview
As a Content Outreach Specialist, you’ll be responsible for helping us acquire backlinks through article placements and strategic outreach. You’ll work on developing or supporting content ideas, identifying placement opportunities, and managing outreach relationships. We’re open to candidates with as little as 1 year of experience, provided you’re fluent in English, have strong communication skills, and are clever about getting results.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure editorial backlinks by placing content on relevant, high-quality websites
- Depending on your skill set, take ownership of some or all of the following:
- Ideation: Developing compelling content or article ideas tailored to placement targets
- Writing: Producing engaging, well-researched articles or collaborating with writers to do so
- Outreach: Building relationships and communicating with editors, journalists, or website owners to pitch and place articles
- Track placements and maintain a clean record of outreach history and live links
- Collaborate with our internal team to align content ideas with our SEO goals
What We’re Looking For
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- At least 1 year of experience in link building, outreach, PR, or content marketing
- Demonstrable success placing content or links on real websites (not just directories or low-tier blogs)
- A proactive, resourceful attitude — you’re the kind of person who can figure things out independently
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with journalists and webmasters
- Solid organizational skills — you’re able to track multiple campaigns and follow up effectively
Bonus Points For
- Existing relationships with journalists or editors in relevant niches
- Experience using tools like Ahrefs, BuzzStream, Pitchbox, or similar
- SEO knowledge — especially how link building fits into the broader search strategy
