Job Description

Assistant Sales Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding the client network across the construction, mining, water, energy, and drone technology sectors. The role involves spearheading sales efforts for existing and newly launched events, while cultivating strong relationships with both current and prospective clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead domestic and international sales activities for assigned projects, achieving sales targets and contributing to event growth.
  • Identify clients’ needs, maintain the relationship (mostly with senior positions) & increase the revenue with existing clients, deal with day-to-day clients’ requirement.
  • Search and evaluate new prospects, build up exhibitor database and business pipeline, market research and develop relationship with potential clients to expand the customer network and company’s market share in local industry
  • Conduct market research, analyze competitors, and support the development and positioning of new event concepts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior-level clients, industry associations, and government stakeholders to enhance event visibility and strategic reach.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure seamless event execution and top-tier customer experience.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new show development, bringing data-backed insights and business leads.
  • Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for overall commercial success.
  • Report directly to and support the Senior Event Manager in various strategic and operational matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the exhibitions or event industry.
  • Industry knowledge or professional background in construction, mining, water, energy, or UAV/Drone technology is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Proficient in market research, sales strategy, and lead generation.
  • Strong command of English and confident presentation abilities.
  • Goal-driven, resilient under pressure, and collaborative in team settings.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and passionate about sales excellence.
  • Able to work under high pressure
  • Target oriented and teamwork
