Accountabilities:
- Write, test, and maintain clean, well-documented backend code, primarily using NodeJS and Typescript
- Deploy and manage microservices using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, alongside CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to build scalable APIs in a Kubernetes microservices architecture
- Identify and address gaps in system design, ensuring high availability and performance under heavy load
- Participate in agile development practices including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development, preferably with NodeJS and Typescript; PHP experience or willingness to work with PHP is a plus
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, scalable systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and software design principles such as SOLID and clean code
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts including CI/CD, QA automation, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a cross-functional, agile environment
