Overview
Our client is a deeptech company developing a decentralized cloud built on a P2P network and a private IPFS architecture.
Our Need
The client is aiming to deliver a secure, high-performance data storage system that is easily accessible from any server via the IPFS protocol. To achieve this, we’re looking for a Go developer to create an S3-compatible gateway, enabling companies to interact with the client’s endpoints effortlessly. The initial idea is to fork MinIO and extend it to store data packages using IPFS. Numerous open-source resources are available to support this effort and will be shared during onboarding to ensure a smooth start.
Responsibilities
- Develop a middleware system to route S3 inflows to IPFS outflows, storing data in the client’s decentralized cloud.
- Design the system to support real-time updates, streaming, and video hosting.
- Maintain a strong focus on security, performance, and code quality.
Preferred Candidate
- Solid experience with Go (Golang), having completed relevant projects.
- Proficiency in Rust is required.
- Deep understanding of Storj, Fileverse, or IPFS as a system developer.
- Experience with MinIO deployment and customization.
- Strong sense of autonomy and initiative.
- A critical mindset is welcomed to continuously improve the client’s technical approach and structure.
