About Us

Kyo Cards is Southeast Asia’s dedicated peer-to-peer marketplace for Trading Card Games (TCGs), enabling secure, community-driven commerce across the region. As we continue scaling our product and user base, we’re looking for a skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team on a 6-month contract basis. Exceptional performance during this period may lead to a permanent position.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for end-to-end development across both frontend and backend systems, contributing directly to product architecture, user-facing features, and internal tooling. This role demands strong technical execution, attention to performance, and a pragmatic mindset when it comes to building scalable systems.

You’ll work closely with our Technical Lead and product team to ship core functionality, contribute to system architecture, and guide best practices across the stack.

Key Responsibilities

Lead feature development across the frontend (React.js) and backend (Node.js/TypeScript) systems.
Translate product requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable implementations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical design, development, testing, and deployment.
Conduct code reviews and mentor mid-level developers.
Identify performance bottlenecks and contribute to architectural improvements.
Support DevOps efforts including CI/CD workflows, observability, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full stack development roles.
Proven expertise in React.js, Node.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
Strong grasp of RESTful API design, secure coding practices, and frontend performance optimization.
Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB and cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with Git-based workflows and container tools such as Docker.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a distributed team.
Experience with GraphQL.
Previous work on marketplace or e-commerce platforms.
Personal or professional interest in Trading Card Games (e.g., Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering).

Contract Details

Duration: 6 months
