Senior Front-End Engineer
Flodesk, a rapidly growing email marketing company, is hiring a Frontend Engineer to join their global, remote-first team. With headquarters in San Francisco and an office in Da Nang, Vietnam, Flodesk empowers creators with beautifully-designed, user-friendly tools. You’ll help enhance and maintain their component libraries, customer-facing websites, and core applications, including their proprietary WYSIWYG email builder. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, as well as deep knowledge of React, Redux, and automated testing, with a proactive approach to UI/UX and performance optimization. Bonus if you’ve built drag-and-drop UIs. This role requires effective English communication skills and a drive to stay current in frontend technology.

About The Opportunity
- Implement, maintain, and update our component libraries, customer-facing websites/landing pages, and the web application at large
- Push the boundaries of our web application to the next level in terms of performance, accessibility, and stability
- Continuously refactor, improve and add automation testing for components (code coverage > 80%)
- Proactively collaborate with our designers, provide feedback about UI/UX + animation, and bring new ideas to the table
- Proactively research new trends and updates in UX/UI technology
- Work hand-in-hand with our current team to resolve issues in our core product, including but not limited to our proprietary WYSIWYG email builder
What you need to be successful
- Strong experience in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Fluent in React, Redux, and related tools
- Experience writing automation testing—especially the React app
- Experience in debugging and improving web app performance
- Hungry to learn and have the ability to learn things quickly
- Good at English in both written and verbal
Nice to haves:
- Specific experience building web-based builder/drag and drop UI
