ROLE DESCRIPTION

Step into the role of Remote Senior DevOps Engineer, where you will play a critical part in building and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure on cloud services. You will collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to automate deployments, monitor systems, and ensure smooth delivery of applications using modern DevOps practices. Bonus points if you're into GenAI and can bring some of that magic to our software development!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across staging and production environments.
• Manage containerized applications, ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Set up and optimize cloud services such as GCP or AWS.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance and uptime using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Implement and manage logging and alerting systems to proactively detect issues.
• Ensure application and infrastructure security by applying best practices in network security and secrets management.
• Collaborate with developers to support application performance, reliability, and troubleshooting.
• Continuously improve build, release, and deployment automation processes.
• Leverage Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to streamline configuration, documentation, and scripting tasks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to infrastructure-related tasks and sprint goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal, with experience working in international teams.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP or AWS, especially ECS (Fargate), S3, and CloudFront.
• Proficient in containerization (Docker) and container orchestration using ECS or EKS.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and security in cloud environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment, managing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools to enhance productivity in automation and operations tasks is a plus.
