Data Engineer (Senior) – Central Monitoring Platform (CMP)

Location: Open for remote (must work 09:00–15:00 CET)

Duration: Start: ASAP (target: 01/06/2026), End: 31/12/2026, Allocation: Full-time (40h/week)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Central Monitoring Platform (CMP) team. This role focuses on:

• Increasing capacity for BAU operations
• Supporting data pipeline development & maintenance
• Contributing to smaller initiatives and improvements

This is a hands-on contributor role (NOT a lead position) within an existing experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Development

• Build, maintain, and operate production-grade data pipelines
• Work with PySpark, Databricks, and Azure ecosystem
• Develop scalable solutions for data ingestion and processing

Data Onboarding

• Support onboarding of:
• New datasets
• Clinical studies & trials
• Operations (BAU)
• Handle incidents, tickets, and operational issues
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA)
• Support system monitoring and stability

Improvement & Initiatives

• Participate in smaller scoped projects
• Contribute to continuous improvements

Documentation & Compliance

• Document pipelines and data flows
• Ensure alignment with:
• Quality standards
• Auditability requirements

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with PySpark
• Proven experience with: Azure, Databricks
• Strong coding skills in: Python, SQL (Spark SQL is a plus)
• Experience building and running production data pipelines

Domain & Compliance Experience

• Experience in clinical / pharmaceutical / regulated environments
• Familiarity with: GxP standards, Auditability & documentation-heavy systems

Working Style

• Hands-on and delivery-oriented
• Comfortable with both operations (BAU) and development
• Able to work independently
• Collaborative in a distributed team setup
