Key Purpose of the Job:
Lead continuous improvement at the factory through proper quality initiatives, prevention, and risk management. Must be able to directly influence factory QMS through a close working relationship with key vendor and factory quality personnel. Be accountable for delivering consistently high-quality products as measured through all QM KPIs/Metrics. Act as a coach and mentor for VF QA team as well as all factory QA.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as SME in projects and SOPs, provide training on assigned topics for associates and factories.
- Lab Testing SOP: Support and monitor factory accredited lab testing SOP against Brand standards and Industrial/Country requirements.
- Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate new vendors to identify factory quality setup, technical support, and product capability & production capacity.
- VCP Program Execution: Support and train VF teams and factories on VCP program execution.
- Factory Process Audit: Support conducting Factory Process Audit and coach QE/QA and FKR on how to conduct it.
- Risk Management: Proactively seek opportunities for upstream prevention management and mitigate risk using Risk Base program to best allocate resources needed.
- Escalation Management: Manage and appropriately escalate risks, issues, and points of concern to Regional Manager.
- Vendor Performance: With the support of data analytics, manage vendor performance and drive continuous improvement within the supply base and your team.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Continually review ways of working, process alignment, and team capabilities to optimize efficiencies.
- Team Engagement: Ensure the team is fully aware of their respective roles & responsibilities and that they have the tools to do their job.
- Cross-Functional Engagement: Ensure high engagement between the team at brand, vendor, and regional cross-functional teams.
- Project Participation: Engage/participate in projects and actively identify, propose new ideas for projects. Create opportunities for the team to be involved in cross-brand/cross-functional activities.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum Relevant Experience: 8-10 years. Candidates who do not possess extensive experience may be considered for a junior role instead.
- Minimum Supervisory Experience: 2-3 years
- Minimum Academic Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Logistics, Mathematics fields
- Required Professional Qualification: Certified Quality Engineer / Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent qualification) recommended
Other Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with 5S / ISO 9001 / 8D problem solving
- Knowledge in SPC, CPK and Six Sigma disciplines, FMEA would be advantageous
