Our platform powers Housing Choice Voucher placements across 20 U.S. cities, working with Public Housing Agencies to prevent homelessness through tech-enabled solutions.

We’ve achieved strong product-led growth (5× revenue forecasted for 2025) with minimal marketing or sales spend. As we prepare for our Series A, we’re investing in foundational infrastructure—QA is at the heart of this. We’re not just building tests; we’re redefining what testing looks like with AI.

The Role

We are seeking a senior QA engineer or QA leader with strong fundamentals in both manual and automated testing, as well as a proven ability to lead a small team. This is a unique opportunity to drive AI-led automation, mentor and guide QA teammates, and build a modern quality assurance function from the ground up.

You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality at every step—from test case design and CI/CD enforcement to AI-driven test generation and execution. You'll report to the CTO and play a strategic role in defining our QA direction.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a small QA team, ensuring strong execution, alignment, and continuous learning.

Build and maintain a scalable automated testing framework using Python, Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.

Use LLMs and AI agents to generate, refine, and execute test scripts across front-end, back-end, and integration layers.

Partner with product and engineering to define testable requirements and high-coverage acceptance criteria.

Drive toward 90% test automation coverage, minimizing manual regression overhead.

Ensure reliable test execution in CI/CD pipelines with fast feedback loops and minimal noise.

Continuously improve QA tooling, practices, and culture across the organization.

Take ownership of release readiness and quality metrics, ensuring every deploy meets a high bar.

Core Requirements

• 5+ years of professional QA experience, with 2+ years in QA leadership or mentoring roles.
• Strong track record of hands-on test automation (Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript).
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, Git workflows, test environments, and automation pipelines.
• Familiarity with API testing, database validation, and performance testing techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to align QA strategy across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead QA efforts in agile product teams.

Bonus Points (Strongly Preferred)

• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Testim, CodiumAI, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Replit Ghostwriter) for generating or executing test scripts.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, or LLM evaluation for QA purposes.
• Prior experience implementing AI-assisted test workflows in production.
• Background in PropTech, govtech, or B2B SaaS platforms with high security or compliance requirements.
• Experience designing test plans for multi-role user systems with branching workflows.
