Payroll Application Advisor
Beyondsoft, a global IT and consulting company, is seeking a part-time Payroll Application Advisor to support its AI-powered HR tech platform. This remote, freelance, milestone-based role is open to professionals based in Vietnam, as well as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan. The advisor will work with the product team during key development cycles, providing payroll compliance reviews, simulations, and feedback on usability and statutory calculations. Compensation is structured by engagement milestones, and the role is flexible, targeting senior professionals looking for strategic involvement without ongoing time commitment.
Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of senior payroll experience, a deep understanding of local payroll regulations, and familiarity with tools like SAP, ADP, BIPO, or Workday. A background in complex payroll environments such as manufacturing or healthcare is preferred. Proficiency in English is required, and Mandarin or prior experience with HRIS implementations and product testing is a strong plus.

To support this transformation, we’re looking for senior-level Payroll Application Advisors across five countries to bring their real-world expertise to the product team.
About the Role
This is a remote, milestone-based advisory role, ideal for senior payroll professionals who want to contribute meaningfully to tech innovation without ongoing time-intensive commitment. You'll be engaged during product testing and compliance validation cycles, typically on a quarterly or biannual basis.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a country-level payroll advisor for one of the target markets
- Review and validate payroll module logic to ensure accuracy and statutory compliance
- Simulate shift-based, blue-collar scenarios (e.g., OT, deductions)
- Provide feedback on usability, calculation rules, and edge cases
- Participate in structured review sessions with the AI product team
- Monitor changes in local payroll legislation and flag required updates
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of payroll experience in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, or Japan
- In-depth knowledge of local payroll regulations, tax, and statutory contributions
- Background in managing complex payroll for manufacturing, healthcare, or similar industries
- Familiarity with platforms like SAP, ADP, BIPO, Workday, etc.
- Comfortable delivering feedback in English (written and verbal)
Nice to Have
- Experience with HRIS implementation or product testing
- Exposure to regional operations or payroll harmonization
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a strong plus
- Understanding of AI-driven HR tools or workflow systems
