Description: This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer (Global Contractor) in Anywhere.
As a Software Engineer, you'll join a high-performing team building production-grade systems that power AI-driven solutions for the financial sector. You will own projects end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and ongoing improvements. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full stack, collaborate on system design and performance optimization, and leverage AI tools to accelerate coding and QA. Accountabilities
- Design, build, and ship production-grade features across the technology stack
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in collaborative code reviews
- Contribute to system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Use AI-powered tools to enhance development speed, quality, and testing coverage
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly, focusing on learning and iteration
- Document technical decisions and communicate effectively in an asynchronous environment
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven track record in shipping and maintaining production systems
- Strong programming experience (ideally with Elixir and Phoenix LiveView) and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL preferred), including performance optimization and observability
- Familiarity with infrastructure and DevOps tools such as Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong focus on testing, reliability, security, and clean code practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across time zones
- Bonus: Experience working in small, fast-paced, and remote-first teams
