Energy Engineering & Python Expert - Freelance AI Trainer
Mindrift offers remote, project-based opportunities for experienced energy engineers to test and improve AI systems used by leading tech companies. Contributors engage in tasks such as designing engineering problems, evaluating AI solutions, and validating simulations using Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy). This is non-permanent, part-time work (10–20 hours/week during active phases), with compensation up to $40/hour based on skills and project requirements, plus potential incentives.
Candidates should have a degree in Energy Engineering or related fields and at least 3 years’ professional experience, strong Python proficiency, and advanced written English (C1/C2). Certifications like PE or CEM and international project experience are advantageous. A stable internet connection is essential.
Selection involves a qualification process before joining projects. Every project’s workload and payment terms vary; specifics are provided for each assignment. Applicants must submit their CV in English and state their English proficiency level.

What we look for
This opportunity is a good fit for energy engineers with an experience in python open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideally, contributors will have:
- Degree in Energy Engineering or related fields, e.g. Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Electronics etc.
- 3+ years of professional energy engineering experience
- Strong written English (C1/C2)
- Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation
- Stable internet connection
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience in international or applied projects are an advantage.
