Data Engineer

Primary Location: Hanoi Capital Region (Remote)

Description

*This role is open for Vietnam candidates[Fulltime - Hanoi - Remote/Hybrid]

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain a reliable data synchronization pipeline between MongoDB and PostgreSQL. This role plays a critical part in ensuring near real-time data availability, consistency, and accuracy across systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data synchronization pipelines between MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure data updates are reflected in PostgreSQL quickly and reliably (near real-time).
• Handle data transformation, validation, and consistency during and after data migration.
• Monitor data pipelines, identify issues, and resolve incidents promptly to prevent data delays or mismatches.
• Work closely with the DBA and Data Analysts to align on data models, definitions, and validation rules.
• Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability in production environments.
• Document data flows, architecture, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (senior level).
• Proven experience building and operating reliable data pipelines and system integrations.
• Hands-on experience with both MongoDB and PostgreSQL in real-world, production environments.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data consistency strategies.
• Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot production-grade workflows.
• Comfortable working with monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Good English communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with near real-time or streaming data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or containerized environments.
• Experience working with large datasets or high-throughput systems.
