Data Analytics Lead
Job Summary:
As a Data Analytics Lead, you will play a critical role in our ERP Transformation Programme by overseeing the design, development, and delivery of advanced data insights and analytics capabilities across the organization. You will lead the integration of data from multiple systems into the new ERP and BI landscape, ensuring robust data quality, governance, and accessibility. As the go-to expert for data modeling, reporting structures, and analytical frameworks, you will support business decision-making across departments. You will also be responsible for the performance, availability, and scalability of our analytics platforms, enabling efficient self-service reporting and advanced analysis throughout the enterprise.
Working closely with the global analytics team and the ERP implementation team, you will define and execute the delivery of business intelligence capabilities across APAC markets. This role is critical in ensuring data integrity, enabling actionable insights, and driving user adoption of Power BI dashboards integrated with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Power BI reporting stream aligned with the Business Central rollout, including data model design, dashboard development, and user access setup.
- Work closely with the Business Central implementation team to align data structure, reporting KPIs, and ensure reporting readiness from day one.
- Act as a key interface between regional business users, IT teams, and global data governance groups.
- Perform fit-gap analysis on reporting requirements, identify key data needs and propose solutions using existing or new data sets.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of Power BI reporting including requirement gathering, prototyping, testing, deployment, and change tracking.
- Drive data accuracy and validation in collaboration with the master data team and ensure BI outputs reflect business reality.
- Design and enforce data governance rules, naming conventions, data source security, and sharing protocols.
- Support the adoption of self-service analytics, delivering training and best practice guidelines to business users.
- Oversee or coordinate with external BI vendors or developers, ensuring output quality and alignment with business goals.
- Track analytics project status, report to stakeholders, and proactively resolve risks and blockers.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in business intelligence or data analytics roles
- At least 2 years leading or coordinating a BI or analytics team/project
- Demonstrated experience delivering Power BI reports at enterprise level
- Involvement in ERP implementation, preferably Microsoft D365 Business Central
- Hands-on experience working with SQL, Power Query, and large datasets
- Experience working in global/matrix organizations
Knowledge:
- Deep knowledge of Power BI architecture, data modeling, and DAX
- Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central data structures
- Data integration techniques, ETL pipelines, and master data principles
- Awareness of data governance and information security practices
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics)
- Business process understanding (especially Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales Analytics)
Qualifications:
- Any Microsoft Azure related certifications
- Any SQL related certifications
- Azure Data Engineer Associate highly desirable
