Contract Mobile Developer - React Native
Wuxiaworld Limited, part of Tapas Entertainment, is hiring a skilled Mobile Developer to create high-quality mobile apps for fans of wuxia and xianxia literature. This is a fully remote role open to global candidates. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain React Native apps for both iOS and Android, integrating with backend systems and third-party APIs to ensure a seamless user experience. The position focuses on delivering performance-optimized applications and handling updates, patches, and bug fixes as needed.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with React Native, strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, and familiarity with native build tools such as XCode and Android Studio. Additional expertise in RESTful APIs, gRPC, and automated testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha is preferred. Flexibility in working across time zones is essential, along with solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust React Native applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Integrate third-party APIs and work with backend developers to ensure seamless functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Ensure the applications meet high-quality standards and provide a consistent user experience.
- Handle software updates, patches, and bug fixes.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with React Native development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Ability to maintain flexible availability for meetings across multiple time zones to support a globally distributed team.
- Familiarity with native build tools such as XCode and Gradle (Android Studio).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and gRPC APIs for backend integration.
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with animations and strong mobile UI/UX design principles, preferred.
