AEM Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain AEM components, templates, and workflows to streamline content management and delivery processes.
• Design and implement React-based front-end solutions for dynamic and responsive web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and content authors, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Administer the AEM authoring environment, managing user permissions, workflows, and access controls to ensure efficient content management.
• Configure and manage AEM publishing infrastructure, including replication agents and activation workflows for seamless content deployment.
• Ensure smooth integration between AEM and React by leveraging APIs and web services.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security across AEM and front-end systems.
• Contribute to project planning activities such as scoping, effort estimation, and technical feasibility analysis.
• Stay updated with the latest AEM features, industry trends, and best practices while sharing knowledge with the development team.
• Work closely with project managers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on AEM-based solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, and enforce adherence to coding standards.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Implement server configurations for AEM Dispatcher to enhance caching, website performance, and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and UX/UI designers to translate design mockups into interactive AEM components and interfaces.
• Customize and extend AEM functionalities through OSGi bundles and Java development.
• Integrate AEM with external systems, databases, and third-party APIs to ensure seamless data flow and content synchronization.
• Manage and optimize workflows, including approval, activation, and deactivation processes, as well as custom workflows.
• Assist in content migration from legacy systems to AEM, ensuring data integrity and proper content hierarchy.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to AEM authoring, publishing, and dispatcher configurations, implementing effective solutions.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with AEM 6.5.x (on-premises and Cloud), including Author, Publish, and Dispatcher functionalities.
• Proven expertise in AEM component development, site deployment, and customizations (components, templates, workflows, and integrations).
• Strong proficiency in the AEM authoring environment, including managing permissions, workflows, and access controls.
• Advanced understanding of the AEM publishing infrastructure, including replication agent configurations and activation workflows.
• Proficient in front-end development with React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating AEM with REST APIs, GraphQL, or other service layers.
• Familiarity with modern development tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of AEM versioning and configuration management.
• Strong skills in Java, including sling models, servlets, utilities, and class implementations.
• Experience working with OSGi bundles and AEM package management.
• Familiarity with AEM multi-environment setups and instances.
• Practical knowledge of Apache and Dispatcher setup, implementation, and debugging.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
